On April 23 from Pakistan, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, leader of JUI-F, declared plans for a “Million March” set to take place in Lahore on April 27. The march aims to demonstrate support for Gaza. According to him, this demonstration will echo the sentiments of the global Muslim community and mirrors an earlier gathering that occurred in Karachi.

Fazl disclosed intentions for additional processions, such as one scheduled for May 11 in Peshawar to commemorate the martyrs of Gaza, along with another planned for a future date in Quetta. He vehemently denounced Israel, labeling it an “illegitimate and occupier entity,” and expressed frustration over international indifference regarding the situation in Gaza.

He appealed to Pakistanis, particularly business communities, to provide financial backing for Palestinians. He raised doubts about why ordinary people are under attack when Israel asserts they are acting in self-defense, urging steps be taken against what he termed as acts of war crime.

Fazl expressed worry about the increasing instability in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Sindh, and Balochistan. He argued that terrorists move around unchecked as the administration does not safeguard the people adequately. Furthermore, he dismissed the outcomes of both the 2018 and 2024 polls, labeling them fraudulent.
