The attack on tourists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam has stunned the country and drawn strong condemnation from political parties and global leaders alike. Notably, even Bollywood stars have stepped forward to voice their grief and outrage.

Akshay Kumar was one of the initial ones to voice his opinion. In his post on X, he described the assault as “nothing but pure evil.”

He reached out via X and penned, “I’m shocked to learn about the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam. It’s pure wickedness to murder innocent individuals in such a manner. My thoughts are with their families.”

Actor Shahid Kapoor took to his Instagram account to condemn the attack. Calling the incident a “cowardly act of terrorism,” he expressed deep pain over the loss of innocent lives.

“Unblemished lives were taken in Pahalgam. Only suffering emerges from these despicable terrorist actions. No divine being would condone this. As you sow, so shall you reap. My thoughts are with the families grappling with irreplaceable losses,” stated his Instagram Stories.

Shraddha Kapoor likewise shared messages via her Instagram Stories, appealing to her audience to send prayers for the families of the victims.

“Let’s hope the families manage to gather the necessary strength,” penned Shraddha on her Instagram Stories.

SRK turned to his X profile (previously known as Twitter) to convey his sorrow about the loss of innocent lives and encouraged individuals nationwide to remain “resilient and unified.”

“The depth of sorrow and fury over the betrayal and cruel act of violence in Pahalgam cannot be adequately conveyed through mere words. During such moments, one can only resort to divine solace and offer prayers for those who have endured suffering, extending my most heartfelt sympathies. Let us, as a country, remain steadfast, unified, and strive for justice against this abominable deed,” he stated in an X post.

Actor Salman Khan similarly responded to the incident, stating that Kashmir, which was once regarded as a “paradise” on Earth, is gradually becoming like “hell.”

“Kashmir, often called paradise on Earth, is becoming a place of torment. Innocent individuals are facing attacks. My thoughts are with their loved ones. Killing even a single innocent person is akin to destroying the whole world,” wrote Salman on X.

Later, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a CCS meeting on Wednesday, just following his return from Saudi Arabia where he had shortened his trip.

The CCS conference took place one day following the heinous terrorist assault on visitors in Pahalgam within Jammu and Kashmir.

The gathering included Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, andExternal Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.

Earlier today, Amit Shah, who led a security assessment meeting in Srinagar, went to visit the location where the terrorist attack occurred at Baisaran Meadow in Pahalgam.

An NIA team went to the scene of the assault to aid the Jammu and Kashmir (J-K) Police in investigating the terrorist attack. The security forces have initiated search operations to locate the perpetrators, and additional security measures have been implemented. (ANI)
