Anzac Day Opening Hours Revealed: Coles, Aldi, Woolworths, Kmart, and Bunnings

Opening hours for major supermarkets and chain stores on
Anzac Day
will vary  significantly from state to state.

As the nation pauses to reflect on the sacrifice of servicemen and servicewomen at war, Australians will enjoy a second straight long weekend.

Woolworths

NSW
– All stores will be closed.

In ACT, Victoria, and NT – The majority of stores will be opening post-1pm.

Queensland
, SA, and WA — Most stores will remain closed  (except
Brisbane
The airport, scheduled to operate from 1 p.m.,)

In Tasmania, all shops will commence operations post-12:30 PM and cease business activities at 11 PM.

Coles

NSW – Every store will be shut down.

In Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) – All outlets will operate from 1 pm onwards.

NT – All outlets will commence operations at 12 pm and operate for shorter periods than usual.

All stores in Queensland will be
closed on Anzac Day.

SA – The majority of stores will remain closed with only a limited number operating primarily in rural regions.

Tasmania – Every store will start operations post 12:30 PM and function with shorter hours.

WA – The majority of stores will be closed, with only certain locations remaining open.

ALDI

New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland, Western Australia, Victoria – All outlets shut down.

ACT – shops will resume operations at 1 pm

Customers have the option to verify their nearest branch timings.

Kmart

New South Wales, Queensland, and Western Australia — all Kmart stores will be
closed.

In Victoria and ACT, most stores will open later than 1pm.

SA – Numerous stores will begin operations post-1 PM; however, several outlets will remain shut. It is recommended for customers to verify online.

Bunnings

New South Wales, Queensland – Every Bunnings store will be
closed

In Victoria, ACT, and NT – All stores will commence operations at 1 pm.

In SA and WA, all stores will be opening at noon.

Tasmania – Every store will commence operations at 12:30 PM.


Liquorland

In NSW — all stores are shut down.

Victoria, ACT, Queensland, Tasmania – All outlets will operate with shortened business hours starting at 1 pm.

NT – Stores will resume operations at noon.

SA – All stores will resume operations at 1 pm, with the exception of Rundle Mall, which will open at 12 pm.

Dan Murphy’s


All Dan Murphy Stores will open at 1pm except for NSW and ACT which will be closed all day.

Apart from those affiliated with AHL Hotels, which will operate according to the hotel’s license.

Majority of BWS stores will open at 1 pm; however, NSW and ACT locations will remain closed throughout the day.

All hotels except those affiliated with AHL Hotels in New South Wales or the Australian Capital Territory will operate according to their license terms.
