In the eastern Moroccan city of Al-Ayoun Sidi Mellouk, security forces carried out two distinct operations on Tuesday. These actions resulted in the confiscation of drugs and alcohol, which is part of their continuous effort to fight criminal activities and enhance public safety.
During the initial operation, law enforcement teams raided a purported hideout located in the Al-Mohammadi neighborhood. They reportedly seized a significant amount of cocaine, Ecstasy tablets, a digital weighing scale, as well as two sizable bladed instruments, based on information from security officials.
In another raid conducted in the Hay Al-Amal district, law enforcement confiscated around 80 bottles of different alcoholic beverages, which were suspected to be slated for unlawful sale. Additionally, they seized a motorcycle thought to have facilitated the transport and delivery of these illicit items.
Neither operation resulted in any arrests, since the primary suspects—who have previous records of drug-related crimes—are still at large. Authorities continue their investigations with the aim of identifying and finding possible collaborators within the smuggling ring.
