The leaders of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) have praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for releasing ₦50 billion to pay the outstanding earned allowances for members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and other non-academic staff unions at federal universities throughout the country.
The president of NANS, Comrade Olusola Oladoja, stated that this courageous and praiseworthy step underscores the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and clearly demonstrates the leader’s steadfast dedication to rejuvenating Nigeria’s educational system.
Oladoja added that the gesture by the President reaffirmed his recognition of the critical role of educators and university staff in shaping the future of our great nation.

Oladoja urged the leaders of ASUU and other non-academic staff unions to maintain this cooperative attitude for advancement, with all parties striving toward a higher education sector that is both stable and internationally competitive.
